LAHORE, April 16: Punjab PML Secretary-General Chaudhry Zaheeruddin on Monday started studying complaints against party MNA Farooq Amjad Mir and will soon refer the matter to the central leadership for necessary action.

Zaheeruddin told reporters that under the party constitution action against an MNA could be taken by the central leadership only. However, he said, he would give his recommendations on the subject.

The PML leader said the PPP had serious differences with the PML-N and the MMA and there was no possibility of their ever being able to get united against the ruling party. He said to cover their internal differences, the three parties were exploiting the issue of judicial reference.

In a separate development, Lahore PML-N vice-president Rana Abdus Salam and a number of his colleagues have joined the ruling party.

The PML leaders welcomed their decision, says a press release.
