Rs1.5m cash, ornaments, looted

SIALKOT, April 14: Two armed dacoits deprived the wife and daughter of a local exporter of ornaments and cash worth Rs1.5 million in Model Town here on Saturday. Reports said that Aslam’s wife and daughter were on their way back home after drawing cash and ornaments from a bank when gunmen intercepted them. The accused fled after snatching from them a bag containing cash and gold.

Muradpur police have registered a case with no arrest.

Three armed bandits barged into the house of trader Muhammad Akbar and held the inmates hostage in Model Town, Uggoki. Later, the intruders fled after collecting cash, ornaments and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

Uggoki police have instituted a case.
