Published April 14, 2007

KARACHI, April 13: Gulshan Town Nazim Mohammad Wasay Jalil on Friday appealed Karachiites to follow alternate routes as road leading from Hassan Square to Jail Chowrangi would be closed for transport due to uplift work being carried out by the KWSB.

He asked citizens to use Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashidi Road as alternate route.

The town nazim said the uplift work would commence from April 16 from New Town Chowrangi to Hassan Square while it would be completed in three months.

BANARAS-ORANGI: One track of the main road between Banaras and Orangi would remain closed for two months due to laying of water lines.

This road was dug up some five months ago for laying of a 48-inch-dia water line.

According to Naib Nazim Site Twon Badshah Khan Naib, the project would be completed in 45 days.—PPI
