Mother, son killed

MANSEHRA, April 11: A mother and son were killed and a seven-year-old boy was injured when six armed men fired on them while they were asleep in a house in the Jallo village early on Wednesday.

According to police, the armed men had broken into the house of Muhammad Khalis and killed his wife Aziz Fatima, his son Mohammad Arshad. The man’s other son Ehtesham was injured.

After autopsy, the bodies were handed over to the grieved family at the district headquarters hospital in Mansehra.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and two others were injured seriously when a Dalola-bound passenger jeep fell into the ditch after the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a sharp turn.

The deceased was identified as Bilal Ahmad.
