NEW DELHI, April 8: India will test fire its nuclear-capable 3,000 kms range Agni-III missile between April 10 and 13.
Media reports quoting defence officials said on Sunday this would be the second test to be conducted after its unsuccessful launch on July 9, last year from the integrated test range at Wheeler Island near Balasore in Orissa.
Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) scientists are also working for the second test firing of an anti-missile system.
Indian defence experts said though scientists put the range of Agni-III at 3,000 kms, the solid-fuel propelled missile’s range could be extended up to almost 5,000 kms.—APP
