Siddique wins CAS golf

PESHAWAR, April 8: M. Siddique of Faisalabad clinched the trophy and a cash prize of Rs150,000 in the 29th Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Open golf championship at the PAF Golf Course on Sunday.

Siddique, the second-day leader, maintained his lead till the end by carding 54-hole 206.

In amateur 0-12 HCP, Wasim Rana (222) led the gross event while Inayatullah Yousufzai (208) stole the show in the net.

In 13-18 HCP, Khalid Hamid (180) and Ehsan Tufail (180) shared the honour in gross while in the net category, Abid Hussain (136) won the first position.

Shaukat Ali won the pro-senior category event with gross score of 141.

Abdul Haq claimed the first position with gross score of 159 in the senior amateur gross event while Syed Irshad Hussain (142) claimed the net event.—APP
