ISLAMABAD, April 7: Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood Saturday expressed concern on law and order situation in Parachinar hoping the ministry of interior would take immediate steps for restoration of peace in the area.

He asked the ministry and law enforcement agencies to ensure safety of the life and property of the people and sought compensation for the affected families.

In a press statement, he sympathised with the aggrieved families.

He appealed to the people to cooperate with the government for maintaining peace in the area.

KWS: A non-government organisation has expressed concern over the armed clashes in Parachinar area and demanded immediate restoration of order and peace there.—Agencies
