KARACHI, April 7: Al-Noor Gymkhana and Rangers Gymkhana advanced into the KCCA-NBP Inter Club Cricket Championship semi-finals after recording contrasting victories in the quarter-finals here on Friday.
Al-Noor Gymkhana thrashed Tapal Cricket Club by 50 runs at the KCCA Stadium.
Ahmed Iqbal hit 57, Wahajuddin made 54 and Ashfaq Shafi blasted 48 as Al-Noor Gymkhana mustered 233-9 in their 40 overs. Off-spinner Iqbal Sheikh captured 4-43. Tapal CC, in reply, crashed to 184 all out in the 35th over. Babar Khan cracked 62. Akbar Rehman captured 3-29.
In the second game of the day, Rangers Gymkhana recorded a four-run victory over Rising Star Cricket Club at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
