KOHAT, April 6: Another music centre was targeted near the airbase here on Friday morning. The blast partially damaged the Sangam music centre. The cantonment police said the type of explosive used in the blast was not yet known.

This is the sixth blast over the last two weeks following a warning issued by the local Taliban in Darra Adam Khel to music and video centres last month.

The police said explosives were being supplied to the Taliban from Darra Adam Khel, the frontier region of Kohat.

The police have seized tons of explosives from different areas of the region over the last couple of weeks.

The interior ministry last year ordered the removal of all kinds of checkposts near the Japan friendship tunnel on the Indus Highway.
