KARACHI, April 5: Twenty eight special children accompanied by two teachers of Anjuman-e-Behbood-e-Samat-e-Atfal (ABSA) School and College visited the Karachi Port Trust on Wednesday. They were briefed at KPT Staff College after which they went around the port and had a harbour cruise. The purpose of the visit was to familiarise the students about the port’s working.

The ABSA students, who were excited, showed keen interest in the cargo handling done through the fully automated gantry cranes deployed at the port; and the KPT dredgers performing dredging operations within the channel.

The students asked various questions through their teachers, which were answered by KPT officers who also took them for a harbour cruise.
