KARACHI, April 5: The officials of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) have been asked to step up their efforts for increasing the revenue of the board and ensure distribution and recovery of monthly water bills. Speaking at a meeting at the KWSB office on Thursday, the board’s vice-chairmen, Mohammad Moin Khan, and Imamuddin Shehzad MPAs, stressed the need for coordinated efforts with the town administrations and union councils for better results.

They also asked for strict implementation of guidelines devised for issuance, distribution and submitting of monthly water bills, saying that negligence would not be tolerated in this regard. They asked the staff concerned to provide them details about recovery during the current and past two years.
