KARACHI, April 5: Three ships to load 68,000 tons of cement and clinker are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Fortune, Tower Bridge to unload and load containers, Selendang Mayang to offload steel, Noni to unload coal, Johar to offload crude oil and Sea Glory to load naphtha were berthed after departure of many ships.

The vessels, which departed on Thursday included APL Shenzhen, Y.M. Faha, Corin Thaikos, Raban-1, Sea Princess and Shalamar, while Selendang, Mayang, Y.M. Fortune, Sea Glory and Johar are due to depart on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 95,117 tons comprising 19,212 tons of export cargo and 75,905 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Hayley Nadhi with containers, Teen to load 39,000 tons of clinker, Nafto Cement and Red Sea Spirit to load 12,000 and 16,500 tons of cement respectively.
