Mysterious murder of host, guest

KHAR, April 4: Two people were killed in a firing incident in Aleezo Shinki village, 10km off the Bajaur Agency headquarters, on Tuesday night, witnesses and officials said. They said that a man was staying as guest at Banaras Khan’s hujra in the village. On Tuesday night, the guest allegedly attacked the host (Banaras) with his Kalashnikov, killing him on the spot. The guest was trying to escape when Banaras Khan’s brother shot him dead.

The witnesses said that the identity of the guest and his purpose of staying with Banaras Khan could not be ascertained. The motive behind the murder was also not clear. They said that the man had been staying with Banaras for two days.

The political authorities took the guest’s body into custody and launched a search for his relatives. Bajaur Levy personnel also took the body to different bazaars in Khar for identification.

The authorities registered a case and started investigation.
