KARACHI, April 3: Vice Chairman of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) Mohammad Moin Khan has said that different localities of Baldia Town, including Ghaus Nagar, Shah Faisal Mohalla, Afridi Colony Nos 1,2 and Rasheedabad, will get water very soon.

During his visit to the area on the occasion of laying of a 16-inch diameter water pipeline in Baldia Town, he said that the residents of the localities had been facing great hardship due to a shortage of water for the last one decade.

He said the problem would be solved by connecting a 16-inch dia water pipeline to the 33-inch diameter line to be laid up to the 19-D Pumping Station in the area.

He was accompanied by KWSB officials and the nazim of the Baldia Town. He said City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal would inaugurate the 16-inch dia supply line on April 6.

He said that work on the new supply lines was in progress and with the completion of the projects, the people would stop facing shortage of water.
