KARACHI, March 31: Judicial Magistrate, East, Mohammad Yaseen Qadri remanded three recovery officers of the Maicro Finance Bank’s Saudabad Branch in police custody till April 6.

The officers, Akmal Hussain Shah s/o Mohamad Afzal, Umair Zafar s/o Zafar Hussain and Mohammad Maroof s/o Shaukat Ali, are accused of kidnapping one, Mr Asad, from his house in Shah Faisal Colony on the pretext of recovering the bank’s loan. A woman, identifying herself as Nuzhat Jabeen, reported the matter to police on ‘Helpline 15’ and the police later recovered Mr Asad.

It was alleged that the victim was not only beaten up but stripped of his clothes and the accused had got his video film prepared for ulterior motives. Shah Faisal police had registered the case under Section 365/34, and stating that three other nominees in the case, Irfan, Sheraz and Junaid, were at large.
