NEW DELHI, March 29: India again test-fired its air-to-air missile Astra on Thursday from the interim test range in Chandipur-on-sea. Media reports quoting defence sources said it was the third test of the missile in five days. “The sleek, beyond-visual range air-to-air missile soared into the sky at 11.33am from a vertical position,” the sources said. The missile has the capacity to engage targets over 80km away. For the test, over 6,100 were evacuated temporarily and housed in four shelters.—APP
