GEORGETOWN (Guyana), March 28: South Africa beat Sri Lanka by one wicket in a nail-biting finish to their Super Eight match here on Wednesday. Scores: Sri Lanka 209; South Africa 212 for 9 (48.2 overs).

Sri Lankan seamer Lasith Malinga took four wickets in four balls in a sensational spell which saw the Proteas collapse from 206-5 to 207-9. He dismissed Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall and then Jacques Kallis to ensure a hat-trick.—AFP
