LAHORE, March 26: Three people allegedly shot dead a woman and injured her husband and three sons for being reprimanded on pestering in the Kahna area on Monday. Muhammad Boota, of Ludday Kay Phullar, told police Zafar alias Zafri, Ishtiaq and Liaqat, all from the same area, used to tease his daughter and he had snubbed them many times.

Police said Boota’s sons and Zafar on Sunday evening quarrelled with each other. Zafar and accomplices came to the house of Boota at around 2pm and opened fire on the family, leaving Boota, his wife Naseem Bibi, sons Javed, Arshad and Sahib Din injured.

They were rushed to the General Hospital where Naseem succumbed to her injuries. Police registered a case on the complaint of Boota.

THEFT: Thieves broke into a house in W-Block in Defence and made off with jewellery and valuables.

The police denied the incident.

A motorcycle was stolen from the Defence area.
