KARACHI, March 25: The government is endeavouring to make Karachi an Information Technology (IT) hub.

This was stated by the Adviser to the Sindh chief minister on IT, Noman Saigal, here on Saturday.

He said that in the IT sector, special attention is being paid towards research and development.

The adviser further pointed out that educated and talented youngsters are being attracted towards the information technology sector, in which jobs will be created enabling opportunities for upward mobility.

The adviser said that cooperation of major IT firms in the country would also be sought for the purpose.

He stated that with the private sector coming to the fore for research and development, it would be possible to attain rapid progress in the IT sector.—APP
