Over Rs1m robbery

LAHORE, March 24: Robbers took away cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from a house in Race Course area on late Friday night.

Police said four robbers burst into Bashir’s house in Muslim Park and held the inmates at gunpoint.

The intruders collected Rs250,000 in cash, 50-tola gold jewellery and other valuables worth Rs900,000, and managed their escape.

Two motorcyclists deprived Kahlil and his family of cash and valuables worth over Rs100,000 at gunpoint on Habibullah Road in Race Course area.

Three robbers stormed into a cell-phone shop on Kausar Road in Lorry Adda area and took away cash in thousands, along with four mobile phones.

Similarly, three armed outlaws forced their entry into a tyre shop in walled city area and managed their escape after snatching away cash in thousands and three cell phones.

Two gun-totting people snatched jewellery and cell phones from a family at New Chuburji park in Lytton Road area.
