KARACHI, March 23: Residents of various localities in the city complained of disruption in power supply on Friday. A complainant from PECHS Block-6 said that power supply to the locality was suspended at 11.30am and was not restored till 7.10pm.

He said that consumers had got fed up with the KESC’s helpline 118, adding that power restoration was promised at 5pm and then at 6pm, but it was not restored till 7.10pm.

A consumer from the staff colony of Karachi University said that power supply to the residential area was suspended at 6.30pm and restored at 7.15pm. He said the KESC was carrying out load-shedding in the name of cable faults.

A resident of Baloch Colony (Qasba Mor) said that power supply to the area was suspended for two hours at 12 noon, which also caused disruption in Friday prayers, saying that there was no alternative arrangements in the local mosque.

A complainant from Gulshan-i-Ghazi said that his locality experienced a prolonged power suspension, adding that it was suspended at night and was restored at 11.30am. He said that power supply was again suspended at 2pm and restored at 6pm.
