KARACHI: Ahmad Ali Khan remembered

KARACHI, March 22: Former editor-in-chief of Dawn late Ahmad Ali Khan was paid rich tribute in the reference held at the Abdul Haq Campus' seminar hall by the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology here on Thursday.

The reference was also addressed by Assistant Editor Dawn Muhammad Ali Siddiqui, senior journalist and columnist Saeed Hassan Khan, chairman of the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Urdu University Tauseef Ahmed Khan and lecturer of the department Muhammad Irfan.

Muhammad Ali Siddiqui said that Dawn was limited to just six pages before Ahmad Ali Khan and under him the paper also printed a 100-page edition.

Saeed Hassan Khan termed Dawn as the only living civil institution of the country since 1947. Tauseef Ahmed Khan during his address said Ahmad Ali Khan's name was among the top editors of the country.
