QUETTA, March 19: Lawyers observed a token hunger strike and boycotted proceedings of courts for one hour on Monday. A statement issued here by the Balochistan High Court Bar Association said that senior lawyer Sakhi Sultan, general secretary of the BHCBA Qahar Shah, Naeem Akhtar, Hussain Agha and Samandar Khan Kasi observed the hunger strike from morning till afternoon.

The statement said that the protest would continue until the government withdraws the order suspending Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.
