MIRPURKHAS, March 19: An eight-year-old boy was killed and four passengers of a motorcycle rickshaw received serious injuries in two separate accidents on Monday. Reports reaching here said that Ramesh, 8, son of Nanak, died on the spot after he was hit by van while crossing the Sindhri Road near Old Mirpur. The van’s driver managed to escape.

In another accident, four passengers suffered wounds when a bus and a motorcycle rickshaw collided on the Ring Road in the Satellite Town police station’s area.

The injured identified as motor rickshaw driver Ishaque Jatt, Nizam Ali Shah, Phuttal and Yaqoob were moved to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas. Ishaque Jatt was later referred to Civil Hospital Hyderabad in precarious condition.
