19 injured in two accidents

NAWABSHAH, Feb 22: Nineteen people were injured, two of them seriously, in two different accidents on the National Highway, near Qazi Ahmed, on Friday.

A Punjab-bound bus coming from Karachi overturned while trying to take a turn in front of the Qazi Ahmed Civil Hospital as a result of which 16 passengers were injured.

Fourteen of the injured persons were admitted to the civil hospital while two, Munawwar Hussain Butt and Allah Wadhayo Pitafi, who were seriously injured, were taken to the PMCH here.

Those who sustained injuries were identified as Hafizullah (Rahimyar Khan), Nazir (Sahiwal), Bashir Hussain Jamli (Rahim Yar Khan), Yaseen Chohan (Lodhran), Ghulam Shabbir (Mian Chanoon), Mohammad Nawaz (Kot Khanewal), Mohammad Sarwar (Pak Patan), Abdul Waheed Chohan (Burewala), Mahmood Masih (Haroonabad), Mumtaz Mughal (Arifwala), Khalil Rajput and Abbas (Lodhran), Allah Bux Rahu (Kazi Ahmed).

In the second accident, a loading truck overturned as a result of which three people — Allah Wadhayo, Ghulam Nabi and Kehar — were injured.

They were administered first aid at the civil hospital.—APP
