LAHORE, March 9: The Utility Stores Corporation has raised the prices of vegetable ghee instead of reducing it in compliance with the directive of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
The prime minister had announced reduction in ghee price at utility stores by Rs6 a kilogram when it was being sold at Rs66.
The USC has reduced the weight of one kilogram packing to 900 grams and started selling it for Rs61, while a full one kg pack is being sold at Rs67.
The price of 4.5kg utility Manpasand tin has been increased from Rs354 to Rs378 and 2.25 kg tin from Rs180 to Rs189.
