LARKANA, March 9: Two local leaders of People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) in Naudero have lodged a non-cognizable (NC) report against Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, chairman of Sindh National Front (SNF) and his son Amir Bakhsh Bhutto, the SNF vice-chairman.

The SHO of Naudero police station Asad Nabi Khichi confirmed to Dawn on Friday about the ‘entry’ in the ‘roznamcha’ of police station against Mumtaz Ali Bhutto and his son and said that it had been lodged by Riaz Phulpoto, estate manager of Ms Benazir Bhutto and Nisar Bhutto, president of PPP Naudero and nazim of a union council.

They alleged that Mumtaz’s men had erased the name of Ms Benazir Bhutto from the arch being constructed in Naudero by taluka municipal administration and had been threatening them since then, the SHO said.

If any harm came to their lives, property or their family members in future it should be considered as coming from the father and son, they said in the NC.

The SHO said that the NC could be converted into an FIR.

When contacted the SNF’s media cell made no comments about the charges levelled by PPP leaders but confirmed the NC against the party leaders.
