KARACHI, March 7: As many as eight teams will feature in the second Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Inter Zonal Women’s (Karachi Region) cricket tournament getting underway here from March 12 at various grounds.

The competing teams which were selected after the trials earlier this month, have been divided into two groups for the three-day event that will be played on knockout basis.

The top two teams from each group will be entering the last four stages.

Teams:

Pool A: Zone I, Zone II, Zone III, Zone IV; Pool B: Zone V, Zone VI, Zone VII, Combined XI.

Fixtures:

March 12: Zone I v Zone II (RCA ground), Zone III v Zone IV (KCCA Stadium), Zone V v Zone VI (RCA ground), Zone VI v Combined XI (KCCA Stadium); March 13: first semi-final (winner first match v winner third match (RCA ground), second semi-final (winner second match v winner fourth match (RCA ground), March 14: final (National Stadium). —PPI
