TAXILA, March 7: A man was found dead at his house in Wah Cantonment while a woman committed suicide in Taxila on Wednesday.

An employee of the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), who had been missing for the last couple of days, was found dead at his house.

The Wah Cantonment police said relatives of the deceased — Nawaz — forced their way into the house after getting suspicious about his disappearance.

According to the police, an autopsy had been carried out to ascertain the cause of the death.

The Taxila police said Nasim Akhtar, a resident of Pind Gondal, died in the POF Hospital Wah where she was taken after she consumed acid to end her life. The woman was stated to be suffering from depression due to domestic problems.

Meanwhile, a man along with his wife suffered burn injuries when his in-laws doused them with hot water over some domestic dispute.

Ishtiaq told the police that his brothers-in-law, Shahid and Qasir, injured them at the latter’s house in Dhabian village.
