LAHORE, March 5: The committee assigned with the job of preparing the election manifesto of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Monday deferred its meeting for a day.

According to MMA’s information secretary Pir Ejaz Hashmi, the meeting was postponed because deputy secretary-general Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari was not available because of his personal engagements.

The manifesto committee would now meet here on Tuesday (today) to consider recommendations of the component parties to give a final shape to the second draft of the MMA’s election manifesto, according to Mr Hashmi.
