KARACHI, March 3: Sindh Minister for Local Government Mohammad Hussain Khan has said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was the largest representative political party of Karachiites and therefore its workers were duty bound to serve the masses round the clock.
Addressing a gathering at the inauguration of a model park in Union Council No 5 Korangi Town, the minister said that following the directives of MQM chief Altaf Hussain the party leaders and workers were serving the people irrespective of caste, creed colour and party affiliations.
Korangi Town Nazim Mohammad Arif Khan said the park, spread over 5500 square yards, cost Rs5.85 million.
Naat Khwani contest: The city government has planned to hold the annual naat khwani competition on March 6 at Khaliq Dina Hall at 9am.
Interested persons can acquire forms from Khaliqdina Hall and the Culture Wing of Community Development Dept, M.R Kyani Road. The age limit for boys and girls is 15, while for men and women it is 25. The last date for submission of forms is March 5.—A Reporter
