PESHAWAR, Feb 25: Police on Saturday killed a man allegedly involved in killing two policemen two days ago. A Khazana police official claimed that police had been searching for the accused,

Saleem alias Budha, after he allegedly killed head constable Rozi Khan and constable Ghuffar Khan on Friday when they were patrolling an area.

The official claimed that on coming to know about presence of the suspect in here Kukar village, police raided the spot and he was killed in an encounter when he resisted arrest.

Some people of the locality, however, claimed that the accused had been injured and he had taken refuge in the home of his sister in the village after Friday’s incident.

They alleged that police had arrested him and killed him later.

Police claimed that the accused was required by different police stations for various heinous crimes, including murder and selling narcotics.
