LARKANA, Feb 23: A large number of labourers under the flag of Watan Dost Mazdoor Federation took out a procession here on Friday to protest against changing the ownership of the Labour Hall.

The rally emerged from Lahori regulator of Rice Canal and, after marching on the main roads of the city, assembled outside Jinnahabagh where they staged a sit-in and made speeches.

They accused a ‘tapedar’ Rustam Memon for allegedly mutating the ownership rights of the Labour Hall in the name of Qadir Aheer, which was allotted to WDMF.

They urged the district government for taking action against the revenue employee for allegedly changing the property rights.

GAS PRESSURE: The labour alliance and citizens in Qambar protesting against the low gas pressure took to the streets on Friday.

Aslam Tunio and Aarib Chandio led the protest, which emerged, from Sarafa Bazar.

They demonstrated outside the local press club and accused the Sui gas manager for sending inflated bills and complained of low gas pressure.

They called for rectification of bills and improving the gas pressure in Qambar town and its adjoining areas.

Complaints of lowered gas pressure are on the rise in Larkana while consumers had approached the gas office for bills’ corrections which they termed inflated.

The timings of low pressure are unscheduled by which the domestic consumers are affected the most.
