HYDERABAD, Feb 23: Poetry and quiz competitions were held at the Sindh University Model School, Jamshoro, on Friday when the Students’ Week entered fourth day.

Noted poet Imdad Hussaini was the chief guest at the poetry competition in which a large number of students participated. Mr Hussaini appreciated the students’ interest in poetry and said that the competition had provided an opportunity to the students to enhance their talent and interest in poetry.

He said that literature refreshed and polished the minds and created awareness about the difficulties of common people. He said that it was necessary for parents and teachers to help the children develop reading habit.

EYE CAMP: A two-day free eye camp organized by Anjuman Samaji Behbood Khawatin in collaboration with the health department and Sindh University dispensary concluded on Friday.

More than 1,500 patients from different villages and Sindh University, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences were provided treatment by eye specialists. Eye drops and other medicines were given to the patients free of cost.
