HYDERABAD, Feb 16: A teenage girl told a single bench of Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit, on Friday that she had been subjected to rape by four men including the petitioner, who claimed to be her husband.

The girl, Kainat Soomro, appeared before the court and stated that she was abducted by petitioner Ahsan Ali Thebo alias Nomi and three others and was subjected to rape. “I was never married to this man”, she said. She contested her medical certificate issued by Dr Samira Tebani.

“We will go for dissolution of marriage,” her counsel Zia Awan told Dawn. He said that Ahsan had filed the petition because an FIR was lodged against him, adding that a medical board was required to examine the girl for determination of her age.— Correspondent
