KARACHI, Feb 15: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting at the governor house in connection with the hosting of the 30th National Games in the city from April 9.

Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held on Tuesday but was postponed due to pre-occupation of governor.

Sindh Sports Minister Qamar Mansoor, who is chairman of the organising committee, made a presentation to the governor in the meeting which lasted for about an hour.

An official, privy to the meeting, told Dawn that the governor has approved the revised dates of the games from April 9 to 14 besides assuring his full support in making the games a success.

Besides the Sports Minister and other high ranking officials of the provincial government, the Sindh Olympic association (SOA) was represented by a seven-member delegation headed by their president Fakir Ayazuddin.
