SANGHAR, Feb 7: The district council session on Wednesday criticised the District Police Officer Ajmal Magsi for his failure to control crimes in the district and said that the SHOs knew everything about the criminals but did not dare to take any action.

The session was presided over by convenor Dr Mehmood Ahmed Rajput. The members Faqir Qasim Mahar, Umer Khan, Noor Hussain Khaskheli and Ismail Dars pointed out to the absence of DPO and said that he did not even bother to attend the session.

They said that the law and order situation in the district was going from bad to worse, incidents of motorcycle snatching and theft of cattle had become order of the day.

At least 6-10 motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint daily and so precarious the conditions had become that people in villages preferred to remain indoors after sunset, they said.
