ISLAMABAD, Feb 6: The Senate Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges in its meeting on Tuesday deliberated in detail on various amendments proposed in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 1988 and unanimously approved some amendments in the existing rules.

The Committee which met at the Parliament House under the Chairmanship of Senator Tahir Hussain Mashhadi lauded the contribution of the members in putting forward various proposals aimed at functioning of the Upper House.

The meeting was attended, besides the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Sher Afgan Khan Niazi by Senators Naeem Hussain Chattha, Ch Muhammad Anwar Bhinder, Raza Muhammad Raza, Ms Saadia Abbasi, Prof Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Asfandyar Wali.

Senior officials of the Ministries of Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs were also present on the occasions.
