KARACHI, Feb 2: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has revived the Larkana Development Authority and the Sehwan Development Authority.

The governor has promulgated the “Revival and Amendment of Development Authorities Laws Ordinance 2007,” reviving both the authorities. They will be headed by the executive district officers (revenue) instead of commissioners and deputy commissioner, and their chairman would be the district nazims.

The authority would consist of chairman, director-general (Member), besides four persons to be nominated by the government as members, while two others would be nominated by the chairman from amongst nazims of the concerned taluka councils.

In the Sehwan Development Authority, district nazim of Jamshoro would be the chairman instead of Dadu nazim.In the ordinance, it is notified that all orders made, proceedings taken, appointments made, acts done by any authority, or by any person, which were made, taken or done, or purported to have been made, taken or done between July 1, 2002 and the date on which this ordinance comes into force shall notwithstanding any judgement of any court be deemed to be and always to have been validly made, taken or done under the said laws and shall not be called in question in any court or forum on any ground whatsoever.
