Seven injured in roof collapse

SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 31: As many as four women and three children were hurt when the roof of a house caved in at Pakhaila village on Kalakhati road on 10th of Muharram (Tuesday).

Reports said scores of women and children were watching a Muharram procession from the rooftop of Azmatullah’s house, when the dilapidated structure suddenly caved in with a bang.

As a result, Safia Bibi, Nasira Bibi Uzma Bibi, Mafia Bibi, Nusrat Bibi and others sustained injures. They were admitted to the hospital for medical aid.

DIES: A woman dies in a traffic accident while her son suffered injuries near Dhamke on Sharaqpur Road.

Rizwan and his mother Sofia were on their way to Sharaqpur on a motorcycle. Near Dhamke, a speedy truck coming from opposite side collided with the motorcycle. As a result, Sofia died instantly, while Rizwan received fatal injuries.
