Rohri nazim quits over allegations

SUKKUR, Jan 24: Rohri Taluka Nazim Aslam Shaikh announced on Wednesday that he was quitting his office over allegations levelled against him by the nazims and members of Awam Dost Panel (ADP).

He told a press conference that he was quitting his charge for 10 days to facilitate an impartial inquiry into the allegations levelled against him.

He said that the nazims and ADP members were busy spreading negative propaganda against the district nazim and DCO. Since their party was seeing defeat in the coming general elections its members had resorted to negative tactics, he said.

Jamil Sahito and Nek Mohammad Chijan of Mahar Group told journalists that 10 councillors of Khushaal Pakistan Panel had filed no confidence motion against ADP’s UC-17 Nazim Zulfiqar Lakho and after the motion’s success such motions would be filed against other ADP nazims also.
