SUKKUR, Jan 23: A large number of residents of Thull town took out a protest rally and staged a sit-in at Rehbar Chowk on Tuesday, after renaming of Shah Latif Stadium, Jacobabad.

The protesters took out a rally from the Municipal Office, marched on the main roads and staged a sit-in at Rehbar Chowk as a result of which vehicular traffic remained suspended.

Lashing out at the DCO of Jacobabad, they said renaming ofstadium as Ahmad Mian Soomro in place of the great Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, was condemnable and demanded of the government for an early action against the DCO of Jacobabad.
