Raja steers bankers to victory

LAHORE, Jan 20: Three-goal Raja Samiullah, supported by a half-goal handicap helped Askari Bank beat Polo De Sufi 6 1/2-6 in the BoP Polo Cup on Saturday. The losers made a fine start taking 3-2 1/2 lead in the first chukker.

Pablo Bagnardi scored two while Queco Dupont one for the losers. Shah Qubilai Alam and Sattar Khan Niazi struck one each for the winners.

After a barren second chukker, the losers consolidated their position, scoring two more in the third chukker to lead 5-2 1/2.

Dupont scored back-to-back.

But the bankers turned the tables over Polo De Sufi in the fourth chukker scoring four, including three by Samiullah and one by Ahmed Zubair. Dupont scored his fourth for the losers but only to reduce the margin.
