Govt to promote housing industry

KARACHI, Jan 20: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Syed Safwanullah has said the government will facilitate in all efforts to promote housing and construction industry. He expressed these views while inaugurating the first International Property Expo “Metro World”, organised by at Karachi Expo Centre, on Saturday.

The minister visited various halls and appreciated the idea of organising an exhibition where foreign construction companies and builders have set up their stalls to showcase their projects in Pakistan and abroad.

He said through this expo the foreign construction companies would be able to gauge the scope of housing and construction industry in Pakistan and would surely venture into partnership with local builders.

He said that the exhibition would be a highly effective networking opportunity for international and local exhibitors that would provide them with an opportunity to showcase their projects and services on a unique platform.

The exhibition would continue up to January 22.—APP
