KARACHI, Jan 18: Pakistan’s decline in football continues as the country finds 171st place in latest rankings announced by the World soccer governing body, FIFA on Thursday for the month of January.

Pakistan, who were at 164th position in last month's ratings, experiences the fall after losing all their matches in December's Doha Asian Games.

The country has come 18 places down during last three months.

The Green Shirts are only above Bhutan (191) in the South Asian region, which is dominated by Sri Lanka (145), followed by Bangladesh (151), India (157), Maldives (160) and Nepal (170).

Iran leads the Asian charge after climbing one spot up to 37.

The top of the list remains largely unchanged with Germany going one place up against England.
