Seven injured in two incidents

ATTOCK, Jan 17: Seven persons were injured in two separate incidents in Darikot and Baryar villages.

Ameer Khan of Darikot reported to the Saddar police that he along with his son Lal Khan were on way to house, when their rivals Mohammad Riaz and Atif Khan opened fire on them. As a result, they sustained injuries and were taken to the district headquarters hospital.

The motive behind the incident was stated to be a land dispute.

Mukhtiar Bibi, a resident of Baryar, told the Saddar police that Rustam, Pir Nabi Buksh, Jahanzaib, Shahid, Javed Nabi, Khalid Asad, Ismail, Hanif, Niazi and Mohammad Fiaz entered her house and attacked the inmates with clubs and iron rods. As a result she, her husband, three sons and a daughter were injured.

CASE REGISTERED: The Hazro police have registered a case against Sabir on the complaint of Firdous, a resident of village Saleem Khan, alleging that the accused had forcibly entered his house in his absence and tried to sexually abuse his young girl.

CAR LIFTED: Malik Jameel, a resident of Darulsalam Colony, reported to the city police that his car (AKB-5300) was lifted from outside his house on Tuesday night.

HASHISH SEIZED: The Attock Khurd police have seized three kg hashish from the possession of Fida Mohammad, a resident of Nowshera, during the checking of a Rawalpindi-bound bus at Mullah Mansoor toll plaza on Tuesday night.
