Rawalpindi score first win

RAWALPINDI, Jan 15: Rawalpindi scored their first win in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League when they defeated Karachi Harbour by 50 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Requiring 259 to win, Karachi Harbour were bowled out for 208 in their second innings on the last day of the match after resuming on overnight 149-6.

Medium-pacer Yasir Arafat captured five for 67 and received good support from Sohail Tanvir (3-43) and Najaf Shah (2-49).

Tail-ender Rizwan Saeed made 41 off 45 balls with five fours and one six.

Rawalpindi, who lost to Peshawar last week, collected nine points.
