NAWABSHAH, Jan 12: A court on Friday allowed a woman, at the centre of a matrimonial dispute which led to the killing of her purported husband in a clash between police and her parental family, to live with her parents.

On Thursday, she was given in police custody because she appeared to be mentally disturbed.

Hameeda, purported wife of Saleem Khoso, who was killed in the shootout in Khair Mohammad Khoso village on Tuesday during a raid to recover her as he had lodged a kidnapping case against her parents, was produced before the judicial magistrate and civil judge by the B-Section police to record her statement.

In her statement, she said that she was kidnapped on November 13, 2006, by Saleem, Aslam, Shaukat, Nadeem and Gulab who shifted her to different places. She further said that she was administered drugs and sexually assaulted by the accused several times.
