Nafees out of BD’s World Cup squad

DHAKA, Jan 11: Bangladesh have left injured opener Nafees Iqbal out of their 30-man provisional World Cup squad, the country's cricket board said on Thursday. Nafees, who last played for Bangladesh almost a year ago, has been unable to overcome a persistent knee injury and will not be making the trip to the Caribbean. Bangladesh will play in Group B at the March 13-April 28 event, alongside former champions India and Sri Lanka and minnows Bermuda.
