Horseracing award for Pir Pagara

KARACHI, Jan 7: Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara who has a passion for horse racing on Sunday retained “Owner of the Year” 2006 award. Administrator of the Karachi Race Club (KRC), Fakir Syed Aitzaz Uddin, presented the award to Dr. Abdul Karim on behalf of Pir Pagara at a ceremony held in the paddock of KRC.

The veteran owner of horses Pir Pagara had won the same award for the year 2005 when it was instituted last year.

Dr. Karim also received the “Horse of the Year Cup” 2006 from the chief guest.

Trainer Sher Mohammad and rider Mohammad Essa of Abhi Abhi also received their shields.

Mushtaq Ali Khan was bestowed with “Champion Trainer of the Year” and M. Nasir “Champion Rider of the Year” 2006 awards.—AZ
